Tirhakah Love is a pop-culture enthusiast, poet, scholar, social commentator, and Editor-in-Chief of the Pop Jones culture blog. With bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and American Studies at Williams College he is an active Allison Davis Research Fellow studying hip-hop as a countercultural youth movement. His future plans include obtaining a PhD in music and African American Studies. His current research interests include early 2000’s hip-hop/R&B collaborations, black re-presentation in media, G-funk, and the Southern origins of black American music.
